Senior Developer


A senior developer will work within and across Omnico sprint teams to ensure the delivery is technically complete and that the sprint team has a high-quality incremental deliverable through supporting the wider team’s achievement of the definition of done. In this regard the senior developer is pivotal in driving for results and solving problems. The senior developer must also work to deliver backlog items through to ‘business as usual’ and work in a cross-functional autonomous team.


  • Designing, coding, and unit testing complex software feature extensions to the existing product set, as well as creating new software solutions
  • You must accurately track and report on the status of your development tasks, user stories, features, epics and development plans to allow for status updates and management reporting
  • Working with the 4690 team to ensure the wider delivery of features and customer deliverables are met by the delivery team as a whole
  • You will contribute to the definition of the development standards required by Omnico and monitor the output of junior sprint team members to ensure the quality is evident in all development tasks undertaken

  • Solid experience of working in a software development team for bespoke software and/or a product company Agile (practical Scrum) and waterfall delivery experiences, with awareness over the flexibility and hybrid approaches and why / when they might work best.
  • Java 2 / CBASIC and C programming experience 4690 OS / TCxSky operating system experience GSA, SA, Ace application experience 4690 controller and Terminal configurations and peripheral management experience
